The Arctic

Wildlife

Beyond polar bears, expect walrus hauled out in groups, Svalbard reindeer, Arctic fox, and enormous seabird colonies of puffins, guillemots, kittiwakes and Arctic terns. Beluga, bowhead and minke whales are regular. There are no penguins in the Arctic; penguins live only in the Southern Hemisphere.
