Most travelers spend $8,000 to $16,000 per person for an 8 to 12 day Svalbard expedition voyage including gear, meals and excursions. Luxury vessels and suites run $20,000 to $40,000 or more. Land-based Northern Lights trips are far cheaper, often $3,000 to $7,000 per person for a week.
